A Guide to Natural Gemstones

Every stone in the ZAAD collection is natural. Here is a short guide to the eight we use most, from agate and tiger eye to malachite and quartz, with notes on colour, hardness and care.

Agate

Banded chalcedony with warm reds and browns. Hard, durable and ideal for daily wear.

Tiger Eye

Known for its moving golden stripes. Polish brings out the silky light.

Malachite

Deep green with concentric rings. Softer than most stones, so keep it away from water and perfume.

Quartz

Clear and bright. Natural inclusions are a sign it is genuine.
